As president of The Mentzer Group, a full-service, independent investment advisory firm he founded in 2008, Doug is dedicated to informing and serving clients throughout East Tennessee and beyond. He uses his experience and industry knowledge to create a wide range of retirement solutions, including income strategies, wealth management, annuities, tax strategies, long-term care plans, IRA/401(k) rollovers and much more.

Doug has lived in East Tennessee most of his life and currently resides in West Knoxville with his wife, Sarah, and their sons, Jack and Jake. Doug plays bass in his local church’s worship band. In his spare time, Doug competes in obstacle course races and enjoys mountain biking, hiking and NFL football.
